“Wilde Lake,” published in May, is a legal thriller that takes place in Howard County

 

Mystery and suspense author Laura Lippman will speak about her latest novel, “Wilde Lake,” during a visit to the Jarrettsville Library on Wednesday, May 18, at 6:30 p.m. It is the first time she is appearing at a Harford County Public Library event.

“Wilde Lake” is a legal thriller that takes place in Howard County, focusing on a prosecutor and a murder which will challenge readers’ notions of memory, loyalty, responsibility and justice. “Wilde Lake” is an evocative and psychologically complex story about a long-ago death that still haunts a family.

The book takes place in Wilde Lake, a village in Columbia. Lippman graduated from  Wilde Lake High School in 1977.
