Building on last year’s success, Camp Hidden Valley (CHV) in White Hall has opened registration for its full schedule of summer day camp starting on June 27th. In response to requests from parents and caregivers, free transportation to and from the camp will be provided from nine locations throughout Harford County. Open to ages 6-13, CHV will present six weeklong sessions focused on different learning themes such as Film-making, STEM, and Farmstead.
“The mission of the camp is to give kids an active, healthy and enriching summer; all while they learn, explore new interests, meet new friends, and undertake new adventures”, said Dwayne Noe, Camp Director.
During the summer months, many children experience a lull in learning and physical activity. “Attending Camp Hidden Valley summer camp is a wonderful opportunity for kids to unplug from their technological distractions and keep their minds and bodies active,” said Phil Crocker, president of Boys & Girls Clubs of Harford County, which manages the facility and its programs.
Located on 180 beautiful acres along the Deer Creek in White Hall, Camp Hidden Valley will operate Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for the following six weeklong sessions:
June 27 – July 1: Farmstead
July 5 – July 8: STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
July 11 – July 15: A Flight to New Heights
July 18 – July 22: Fantasy Film-Making
July 25 – July 29: Hidden Valley Olympics
August 1 – August 5 – Mad Scientists
An open house is scheduled for May 9th from 1pm to 3pm at the camp, for those interested in learning firsthand about the facilities and programs.
