Time to Support Your Local Favorites
We’ve been kicking this idea around for a couple of years now, and after reading some of the winners in another awards for Harford County businesses, we noticed some things. There were a lot of categories that weren’t include that should have been. There were winners and/or runners up of businesses that were no longer in business. There were also companies with Headquarters in other states. While we would like to congratulate those that did win, we would like to hold an annual Community Choice Awards that features LOCAL businesses, organizations and people.
Some of the categories that will be included are:
Favorite Local Radio Station
Favorite Local Landmark
Favorite Local Service Organization
Favorite Local 501c3
These are just some of the ones we have planned. If there is a category that you would like to see, let us know by emailing [email protected]. Notice that there is a theme here though… Favorite Local. You know how much we believe in supporting local, so that is one thing that it must be, local. No worldwide fast food chains, national jewelry stores, etc. It must be local.
