Annual contest raised $13,000 for Harford Family House,

providing 130 nights of shelter to a homeless family of four

[Aberdeen, MD] June 2, 2015—Six-month-old Charlotte Vogt is Harford’s Most Beautiful Baby for 2015. Charlotte earned her title in the sixth annual “Celebree Presents Harford’s Most Beautiful Baby” contest held Saturday, May 9 at Celebree Learning Center in Fallston.  131 babies entered this year’s competition and 127,910 votes were cast on At the height of contest, there were more than 74,500 unique visitors to the website. As the winner of the contest, Charlotte received a full year of pre-school courtesy of Celebree Learning Centers valued at $9,000, along with a $1,000 cash prize from APGFCU and other gift certificates.


The event raised a total of $13,000 to support the valuable work of Harford Family House. For more than a quarter of a century, Harford Family House has provided transitional housing and resources to families in need, to move them from homelessness and hopelessness to stability and hope. It costs just $25 to provide one night of housing to a parent or child in need, so funds raised through this event will provide 130 nights of shelter to a homeless family of four.


Generous prize packages were also awarded to first runner up and winner of the toddler division, 21-month-old Lily Shay. Other winners included:

  • Mother/Daughter Look-a-Like: Lily Shay and her mother, Amanda
  • Father/Son Look-a-Like: Gavin Brown and his father, Matt
  • Parent/Child Look-a-Like: Zane Avila and his mother, Lindsay
  • Baby Crawl Race: Anthony Bakie


In addition to the prizes presented to this year’s contestants, winners of previous Beautiful Baby contests were also featured in a “Where Are They Now” article in the Spring issue of Harford Style Magazine. The popularity of this contest continues to grow, and since its inception in 2010, the event has raised more than $60,000 for Harford Family House.

About Harford Family House

Harford Family House is the largest provider of transitional housing for homeless families with children in Harford County.  Other programs include Emergency Shelter for families and HUD Supportive Housing for homeless families where one family member has a disability.  Clients are provided with a fully furnished apartment or house and receive case management services and referrals to partner agencies to move them from homelessness and hopelessness to hope and independence.
