WHAT: Kiddie Academy of Abingdon will be hosting a Groundbreaking Ceremony for
the local community. The academy is scheduled to open in early fall, and will
serve 149 children between 6 weeks and 12 years old. The groundbreaking
ceremony marks an important step in supporting families within the Abingdon
and Bel Air community.
WHO: Kiddie Academy® has been a leader in education-based child care for over 30
years, with more than 130 academies located in 23 states. The company offers full
time care, before and after school care and summer camp programs. Kiddie
Academy of Abingdon will be located around the corner from the Kiddie
Academy headquarters, which has been a staple in Harford County for 20 years.
The corporate office has over 55 employees and the new state-of-the-art academy
in Abingdon will create an additional 30 jobs within the community.
