Ken and Amy Lowry lost their home and their 11-year old daughter, Emma when the 5th-wheel where they were living on Mountain Road burned last Thursday.  Emma was a 6th Grade student at Magnolia Middle School.

Bobby Nicholson started a GoFundMe page which reads: On January 30, 2015, Ken and Amy Lowry suffered the loss of their home and belongings to a fire at 1 a.m.  Worst of all, they lost their beautiful 11 yr old daughter, Emma, to smoke inhalation. The beloved family pets perished, as well. A red-nosed pit named “Julius” and a cat named “Skittles”. It is without a doubt the toughest time I have ever had to help my friends walk through, and at most times I feel inadequate for I have no experience dealing with the loss of a child. I have set up this Go Fund Me page so that this couple can deal with this tragedy and begin to piece together their life again. At current, they have no where to live, no clothes, and no basic essentials. I told Amy they could use some help, and frankly, they deserve a BREAK!!!
Thank you for your kindness in helping this family move through this transition. I can only imagine relieving their financial burdens for a time will help them find a new nest and begin the long healing process that awaits them.

The Goins Auction Service, of Joppa, will also host a benefit auction on February 19, 2015 at Grace Baptist Church, 1501 Stockton Road Joppa, Maryland 21085.  The auction begins at 6 p.m. and the community is urged to donate items for sale to raise money for the family.

Goins posted the following on their Facebook Page: On Thursday February the 19th we will be holding a benefit auction for Amy and Ken Lowery, who have just lost their 11 year old daughter Emma in a house fire this past week. They lost their entire home and their beautiful child. In times like this is when we need to help those in our community the most. The auction will be held at Grace Baptist Church at 6:00pm. We will be taking items in to be donated for the auction. All the money will be going directly to the Lowery family. If you would like to make a money donation for them please contact Rachel Goins at 410-652-5055. Please do not take this lightly and donate used items. We would like to raise as much money as possible for this family. We will be posting more information and pictures of the items donated for the auction. Please remember that this is a benefit auction so there is NO consigners fees. All the money will be going directly to the family. The night of the auction there will be NO sales tax or buyers premium. Also we will NOT be excepting any kinds of alcohol for the auction. Such as wine. Thank you in advanced.

Let’s pull together and help out as much as possible.
