Nettie Owens of Sappari Solutions is one of only 81 people worldwide to become CPO-CD

Havre de Grace, Md. (October 28, 2014)– Nettie Owens, a Harford County-based professional organizer, productivity coach and President of Sappari Solutions, has earned her Certified Professional Organizer in Chronic Disorganization (CPO-CD®) designation from the Institute for Challenging Disorganization (ICD). Only 81 people world-wide have achieved this distinction.

A CPO-CD® is a professional organizer who has received extensive education on the issues of chronic disorganization (CD). The CPO-CD® student spends 15-18 months in intensive preparation studying and applying this learning in practical application with current clients. The purpose of the ICD CPO-CD® program is to develop a professional organizer’s skills and knowledge by utilizing a coaching-style relationship. This program allows the intermediate and advanced professional organizer an environment and forum to discuss client issues, problems and challenges. The CPO-CD® program is specifically geared to improve the quality of service, techniques and knowledge a professional organizer provides to their CD clients.

A graduate of Johns Hopkins University, Owens also holds Level I and II Certificates of Study in Chronic Disorganization, ADD and Hoarding, and a Level I Certificate in Aging from the Institute for Challenging Disorganization. Since 2011 she has hosted the annual Clear Your Clutter Day with Harford Community College. Owens has also been featured on national TV on TLC’s Hoarding: Buried Alive, as well as in Parents magazine. She has been a speaker for groups such as the National Association of Professional Organizers and Constellation Energy among many others. As a member of NAPO and ICD, Owens is committed to continued education, research and awareness around organizing issues and strategies.

“Nothing makes me more pleased than to see my clients achieve their organization goals,” says Owens. “That is why I thought it was important to put the time and effort into acquiring this additional training that will directly benefit my clients who struggle with chronic disorganization. The training helped me understand the underlying causes of their struggle and come up with creative solutions to help them break out of the ‘clutter-cycle.’ Together we can succeed at creating organized spaces that free each client to live life to the fullest.”
