(Belcamp, Maryland – July 22, 2014) Over 60 children, teens and even one adult arrived with their hula hoops ready to hoop in the Harford County Public Library’s hoopla hoop event. Broken down into two groups, finalists from each group then went on to the finals and had to keep their hula hoop spinning for 45 minutes. In the end 20 finalists finished and a drawing was held to give away the prizes including the coveted Samsung Galaxy Tab 3!
“It was a very exciting day at the Abingdon Library. So many people of all ages had fun. And it was a great way to spend a rainy summer afternoon!” stated Mary Hastler, Library Director. “Thank you to MidWest Tape for putting on this event and helping to get the message out about the great service we are able to provide our customers through hoopla,” further commented Hastler.
The hoopla hoop contest was put on by Midwest Tape, the media provider of hoopla to public libraries in North America. Customers can browse, borrow and enjoy audiobooks, music, digital video and stream movies by using their library card and signing up at hoopladigital.com.
