Best-selling author Lisa Scottoline discusses her new book, “Keep Quiet,” in Abingdon
Belcamp Md., May 9, 2014 — Harford County Public Library Foundation hosts its annual “A Night Out @ the Library” featuring New York Times-bestselling author Lisa Scottoline on Thursday, May 29, at 7 p.m. at the Abingdon Library, 2510 Tollgate Road in Abingdon.
Tickets cost $55 per person and include a copy of “Keep Quiet,” Scottoline’s book that came out in April. VIP tickets cost $75 per person and include a reception with the author at 6 p.m. and a copy of the book. To order tickets, call 410-273-5600 or visit hcplonline.org.

She has been honored with AudioFile’s Earphones Award and named Voice of the Year for her recording of her nonfiction book, “Why My Third Husband Will Be a Dog.” The follow-up collection, “My Nest Isn’t Empty, It Just Has More Closet Space,”has garnered both Scottoline and her daughter, Francesca Serritella, an Earphones Award as well.
Additionally, Scottoline received the Distinguished Author Award from Scranton University and a “Paving the Way” award from the University of Pennsylvania, Women in Business.
Scottoline and her daughter, Serritella, write a weekly column in the Philadelphia Inquirer called “Chick Wit,” a witty and fun take on life from a woman’s perspective.
Over the years Scottoline has served as president of the Mystery Writers of America and taught a course she developed, “Justice and Fiction,” at The University of Pennsylvania Law School, her alma mater. She is a much sought after speaker at library and corporate events and lives in the Philadelphia area.
