This school year, Red Pump Elementary School started the “Girls Run the Nation” program. Girls Run the Nation is a wellness program that promotes high self-esteem and sisterhood in girls ages 5-10. Girls are inspired to build friendships, embrace a positive attitude and make the world a better place by focusing on the health of their mind, body and spirit. The group is led by teacher volunteers.
The Girls Run the Nation led a Practicing Random Acts of Kindness (PRAK) movement for the students at Red Pump and were responsible for signing students up to participate. PRAK pledges charge students to practice kindness and creates an anti-bullying atmosphere.
Great job, girls!
