UM Upper Chesapeake Health Appoints Henry J. Franey to Board of Directors

University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health (UM UCH) has appointed Henry J. Franey, MBA, executive vice president and chief financial officer of the University of Maryland Medical System, to its board of directors.

 

A financial management expert with more than 35 years of experience in the health care sector, Franey has served in senior leadership positions at the University of Maryland Medical Center since 1992. He is responsible for the medical system’s financial services, supply chain and information technology.

 

Prior to joining the University of Maryland Medical Center, Franey was a health care consulting partner at KPMG’s Baltimore office.

A certified public accountant, Franey holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Towson University and an MBA in finance from Loyola University Maryland. He is past president of the Maryland Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and has served on its national advisory council.
