Humanities scholar Clay Jenkinson portrays Jefferson at Abingdon Library

 

Humanities scholar Clay Jenkinson brings his portrayal of President Thomas Jefferson to the Abingdon Library for a special live audience taping of his award-winning radio show, “The Thomas Jefferson Hour,” on Saturday, September 17, at 7 p.m.

Hosted by the Harford County Public Library Foundation, “A Conversation with Thomas Jefferson” will be held on Constitution Day. “The Thomas Jefferson Hour” is a weekly radio show and podcast that models civil discourse, good citizenship and critical thinking in the tradition of Thomas Jefferson.

During this event taping, President Jefferson will discuss his perspective on the modern election process and the Constitution. The event will be moderated by Dr. William B. Allen, a Harford County Public Library trustee and the Miller Senior Fellow in America’s Founding Principles and History and the Veritas Fund Senior Fellow, Matthew J. Ryan Center for the Study of Free Institutions and the Public Good, at Villanova University.
