Founder of JigSaw Marketing Solutions will now lead firm’s strategic communications vertical
Baltimore-based crisis management and communications firm Fallston Group, LLC announces the full-time appointment of Kathy Walsh as Director of Marketing. Walsh, who founded and operated JigSaw Marketing Solutions since 2002, has joined forces with Fallston Group to significantly deepen its marketing bench; Walsh will lead the firm’s Strategic Communications & Media business vertical.
In her new role, Walsh will oversee strategic marketing efforts for Fallston Group clients as well as assist with business development for the firm. Walsh brings 25 years of business-to-business and business-to-consumer marketing expertise, with an emphasis on intensive client research and company branding. Using this expertise, Walsh will be able to suggest informed and calculated marketing recommendations to clients in the media relations, digital marketing, social media, content marketing and public relations disciplines. The synergy between Walsh’s strategic marketing expertise and Fallston Group’s deep knowledge of crisis leadership, strategy and communications will benefit the combined client base of the former JigSaw portfolio and Fallston Group’s growing sphere of influence.
Fallston Group Chief Executive Rob Weinhold says, “Kathy is an experienced, proven marketing executive who has driven results for many organizations during her highly successful career. From large public companies to small non-profits, Kathy quickly grasps the business concepts and creative forces needed to drive client growth.” Weinhold adds, “Kathy’s presence will add an advanced dimension to our business which will benefit many for years to come. We are delighted to have her on board.”
Walsh comes from JigSaw Marketing Solutions, an award-winning, MBE-certified business marketing and public relations firm for which she has served as owner and principal since 2002. Walsh plans to continue serving her JigSaw clients who will accompany her to Fallston Group. The integration will better meet her clients’ growing and diversified marketing needs through the added expertise of the Fallston Group team. Current Fallston Group clients will also benefit from Walsh’s transition as they will now have access to an additional veteran marketer.
“I could not be more enthusiastic about this change because my clients will have access to the tremendous team of highly qualified professionals at Fallston Group who will be able to fulfill and exceed their expectations. I also look forward to serving and building relationships with existing Fallston Group clients,” says Walsh. “I want to thank all of my clients who have supported me at JigSaw Marketing Solutions and who have continued to support me during my transition to Fallston Group.”
In addition to being a respected marketing professional, Walsh is also a seasoned speaker for groups and events such as the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce Business-to-Business Expo, the Small Business Survival Summit and national franchise meetings for Signs by Tomorrow.
