More than just painting, the new entertainment service lets guests create a variety of decorative items; events are hosted at public venues in Baltimore and beyond.

Hungry for a different kind of creative entertainment for your next corporate meeting or casual night out?  Let “Craft Night” feed your artistic side. The startup company hosts unique make-your-own-art events at bars and eateries in Baltimore and surrounding counties.

“Eatertainment” is a current trend in the restaurant industry, with participants dabbling in the arts as they dine. Until now, painting on canvas was the primary choice; but Craft Night is adding to the menu with activities like making a pendant light, creating faux stained glass and more.

Participants register online for an activity in their area and sign in with a company representative upon arrival. The Craft Night staff remains on site to set up all needed supplies; provide step -by-step instructions; and offer encouragement and inspiration along the way. Projects take about two hours and every registrant leaves with their own unique piece. No previous experience or artistic skills are required, but since most events are held at bars, participants must be 21 or older to register.

CEO Ryan Sentz says, “Craft Night brings out the inner artist in everyone. Our projects are fun, easy and give people a whole new way to interact. Whether it’s a group of friends out on the town or businesses in search of team-building activities, Craft Night offers something different to do.”  Sentz also notes that the activities can also be effective as fundraisers for charities and add a new twist to private parties and other celebrations.

Craft Night is a rapidly growing business and is currently seeking additional artists and licensees to host and lead classes, as well as new venues to hold activities. Events cost $60 per person, but depending on what discounts are available, tickets can be purchased for $30-$40 dollars each.
